Case Study
Suffolk Constabulary
Suffolk Constabulary required a secure and manageable storage solution for the new ‘Airwave’ personal radio units which have been introduced as part of a national programme. Link Lockers provided a practical, safe and durable solution in the form of small personal storage lockers which have in built chargers to ensure the radios are always charged and ready to use.
To ensure security and the controlled issue of the 'Airwave' radio the lockers are operated using a key locking system, with keys issued to individual officers. The radios are returned to the compartment at the end of an officer's shift and charged.
Myles Hansen, Communications Manager for Suffolk Constabulary commented "The move to Aiwave means that each individual handset is issued to specific officers, so a secure means of storing and charging is vital."
"With some 1500 individual compartments now in use at police stations across Suffolk these installation’s reflect the innovative approach of Link Lockers in solving the challenges presented by a very specific storage requirement." Explains Joeri Decae, Link Lockers Sales Director.
